"Ben Robertson, Jr., Charleston, S.C., and Tom Percival, Norwalk, England, steered into a collision course on rough water at the Havasu Classic Saturday. Going airborn side-by-side, they collided with Percival's craft sinking and Robertson's flipping. Robertson took refuge on his floating hull, while Percival's craft went under. Robertson was unhurt. Percival checked in at emergency hospital for x-ray and was released to his personal physician."
